April Showers bring May Flowers

First off thank you so much for all of your kind comments and emails about Dexter. I still miss him terribly but every day it gets more bearable. Our home still feels empty and I still expect him to be there. But we are coping with our loss. It’s nice to know that so many of you cared about him, too.

So in yarn news…. I created another colorway for the Whenever Again Sock Group… this time the theme was “April Showers”  I wanted to capture all of the denim blues of a spring rainstorm – from deep indigo through gray with hints of teal and purple.

I think I nailed it.

In fact I like this colorway so much that I decided to offer it to everyone (once I finished the order for the group, of course). It’s only going to be available for a limited time, though, since it doesn’t really fit my Destination Yarn concept.

Oh but it's pretty!

I also couldn’t dye “April Showers” without also dying the counterpoint…

For this I went with all of the reds and pinks of spring – from vermilion through scarlet with hints of blush, fuchsia, and purple.

I think they make a pretty nice pair:

Maybe not quite Peanut Butter & Jelly (a new staple in my household):

But definitely a pair.

In fact if you order them together I will send you a pair of handmade stitch markers as a free gift with purchase.

Because everyone loves a free gift with purchase.

You really must stop creating these beautiful colorways. I have no willpower over them and soon will be destitute (but at least I will have yarn.)
