In searching for fingerless mitt patterns I found YOURS. So appropriate as I have spent so many hours at Cleveland Clinic waiting while my husband went through surgery. Reading and knitting was/is my time killer, especially knitting. We face more surgery and I have a good stash of left over sock yarn. THANKS

Your blog is cool. I teach German to older teenagers and college students at a private language school in Olmsted Falls. When we have knitters in the class, we watch this lady http://www.youtube.com/user/eliZZZa13?feature=wat.... She sounds like my mother's Austrian friend and that makes me smile.

Here she is in English... http://www.knitaholics.com/ Her stuff for babies and kids is soooo adorable. For good knitters, even the German videos can be easily followed, but there is so much in English that you never feel you are missing out.

Thank you SO much for the free fingerless mittens pattern. I used your Malabrigo 75 pattern with Noro's silk garden and made a longer ribbed section at the wrist, as you suggested. Thanx!!
